Anne’s Mariner’s Compass Quilt

I recently quilted this Mairner’s Compass for my customer Anne Hall.  The pattern is designed by Brad and Judy Niemeyer from Quiltworx.

My favourite part is….oh dear, there are many favourites in this one…..but here goes….yup my favourite part is….

I really love how the checkerboard quilting radiates from the centre and it’s texture keeps, drawing my eye…yup my favourite part.

But then, there is this….

But which part of this last picture?!  I love it all!

And then there is this..

I guess I really do not know what my favourite part is….I like it all! I love adding texture to quilts and this one sure does have texture, in part thanks to two battings, a cotton and a wool batting…..

A few more pictures….

And the back….

It is an honour to quilt such beautiful quilts!  I feel so blessed to have a job I love so much…..
