I may have mentioned once or twice that I love what I do! Having said that, it follows that I find myself enjoying the quilting process on every quilt I quilt. However, some are more fun than others!!! This was one such quilt….
This One Block Wonder was pieced by Myrna Moline. I love the colors and her cube blocks are fabulous. I showed her a photo of another One Block Wonder I had quilted and she loved what I had done on it, so A plan was set.
In the cubes I tried to accentuate the 3-D effect of the blocks…
In the hexagons, I quilted a variety of designs, and had fun coming up with some new ones…..
In the border, we had decided on cross hatching. As I started stitching the cross hatch I felt the blocks in the border needed a little accent, so I added this little flourish around those blocks with a cool block and metallic twisted thread…..
I repeated that thread in some of the blocks, as you may have noticed in some of the pictures.
I think you can tell how much I liked this one by the number of pictures I took! Did I mention how much I LOVE what I do?…..
Myrna sent me a picture of the original fabric! What a change eh?!
